Emily Andes
Emily is currently a junior at CSU, Chico and a Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical Instructor here at Barefoot Dance Co. She began her dance career at the age of 5 in Gridley at the formerly known dance studio of Lynn’s Dance Arts and continued to dance after the studio was renamed Barefoot Dance Co. Along with taking Pointe, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, and Musical Theatre classes, Emily was able to join several of our competition dance teams including the Performance and Competitive Jazz Team, Lyrical Dance Team, and the Musical Theatre Dance Team. With those teams Emily was able to achieve several overall and judges awards for the dances that were competed. She is also the only dancer from this studio to take her solo pointe routine “Don Quixote” and competed it at the Dupree Dance Competition. She danced for 13 years as a student and decided to become a dance instructor, and has been a teacher here for 4 years. Emily has also been involved in a couple local theatre productions at the Acting Company, where she was Assistant Dance Director for “Fiddler on the Roof” and a performer in the show “Guys and Dolls”. Emily has been studying and enjoying dance for 15 years and wants to spread her love for dance to all of her students!
