Michelle Neal
Michelle is currently attending Butte College, and is one of the Ballet instructors here at Barefoot Dance Co. She discovered her love of dance at the young age of three and continued dancing up until the age of 18. During her dance years Michelle enjoyed taking Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater, and Lyrical dance classes. However, Ballet was always her favorite and as she grew older, her main focus became Classical and Pointe Ballet. Some of her favorite dance memories were made when she was involved in the Barefoot Dance Co. Competition Teams. Here she was able to travel and compete at various dance competitions and conventions, as well as perform at fundraisers for the Yuba City Acting Company. Barefoot Dance Co. has given Michelle many dance related opportunities. During Michelle’s senior year, she was casted as the “Spring Fairy” in Barefoot Dance Co. production of “The Four Seasons”. Earlier that year, she was given the opportunity to work with blind visual artist Pete Eckert. Where she was featured as a dancer/ model in an upcoming documentary featuring Pete Eckert. Michelle hopes to create a positive learning environment for her students and wishes to bring out the best in each of them. Dance brings Michelle much joy and happiness and she hopes to share this with her students.
